The Baton Rouge Capitals of the USL Premier Development League announced the re-signing of goalkeeper Joe Hart and the signings of Chip Sanders and Adam Pittman to the position Tuesday.
The Capitals lost Zane Wells to a contract with the League of Ireland and Alessandro Salvatore trained with Mexican team Club America in the offseason.
Hart was Baton Rouge's number two goalkeeper and led them to a third-place finish in the league playoffs last season. He is in his third PDL season, but second in Baton Rouge.
Sanders has been the starting goalkeeper at NCAA Division I Davidson for two seasons and will be in his third PDL season, with one season previously at the Panama City Pirates.
Pittman is a sophomore at Dutchtown High School in Gonzalez, LA and is considered one of the best high school players at his position.
The Capitals open PDL season play May 19 on the road against the West Texas United Sockers, then welcome the Rio Grande Valley Grandes to Christian Life Academy Stadium for their home opener.
