Bruin Hat Trick Wins For Dynamo, Now Tops In Eastern Conference

Will Bruin became the second rookie in Houston Dynamo history to have a hat trick as they defeated DC United 4-1 Friday at Robertson Stadium at the University of Houston and became the new leader in Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference.

Bruin was assisted by Brad Davis and Geoff Cameron on the goals -- Cameron assisted on his first in the fourth minute, both teamed on his second in the 41st minute, and Davis helped out in the 57th minute.

Cam Weaver put the game away in the 62nd minute off a Hunter Freeman assist for the Dynamo.

United's only goal tied the game at 1-1 in the 39th minute as Dax McCarty assisted Marc Burch.

Houston is now 3-1-3 with 12 points and will next host the defending MLS champion Colorado Rapids this Wednesday.

United, at 2-4-1 with seven points, is tied for sixth in the Eastern standings with Toronto FC (1-2-4) and they will host the Seattle Sounders at RFK Stadium this Wednesday.
