Blues, River Plate Play To 1-1 Draw Saturday

The Los Angeles Blues and River Plate Puerto Rico played to a 1-1 draw Saturday in USL PRO action from Roberto Clemente Stadium.

Michael Randolph assisted Cesar Rivera on a 12th minute goal for Los Angeles, but Eloy Matos scored in the 58th minute on an unassisted play for the tie.

River Plate played most of the game with nine men after Martin Morello and Yaniel Bermudez were red carded for fighting with the Blues' Rivera in the 34th minute. Rivera was also ejected.

The Blues remain on top in the International Division at 3-0-1 with 10 points, while River Plate is 0-0-2 with two points and tied for last place in the division with Puerto Rico United (0-1-2).

Both teams next host Antigua Barracuda FC -- River Plate first on Friday, the Blues host them next Sunday.
