Atlanta Beat goalkeeper Alli Lipsher became the first player in Women's Professional Soccer history to be named the league's Player of the Week for a second straight week, done so Wednesday for Week 3 of the 2011 season, and the ninth player in league history to win the award more than once.
Lipsher, who saves 11 shots in last week's 1-0 victory over 2009 league champion Sky Blue FC, stopped 13 shots in a 2-2 draw this past Saturday against the expansion Western New York Flash.
