Beat, Flash Play To Draw Sunday At KSU; Meet Again Next Sunday

The Atlanta Beat (1-1-1, four points) and the expansion Western New York Flash (1-0-1, four points) are now tied for the lead in the Women's Professional Soccer standings after playing to a 2-2 draw in their first meeting at KSU Soccer Stadium in Kennesaw, GA Sunday.

Christine Sinclair led the Flash with a goal in the game's second minute, then assisted Marta on a goal in the 66th minute to give Western New York a 2-1 lead.

Beat captain Lori Chalupny evened the game at 1-1 in the 56th minute, then saw Carli Lloyd hit the last goal of the night in the 69th minute to eventually end it at 2-2.

Both teams will meet again at the same location this Sunday.
