29 Players Selected For USWNT's Next Training Camp In Florida

In advance of competing in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany this summer, US Women's National Team head coach Pia Sundhage announced the names of 29 players who will take part in their next training camp, set for April 18 to May 6 in West Palm Beach, FL.

Sundhage will need to start evaluating players to determine a 21-player roster for this summer's tournament.

21 of the 29 players will come from Women's Professional Soccer teams and those players will still play for their respective teams on weekends during the camp, being held at the training site for WPS' magicJack, formerly the Washington Freedom.

Three collegiate players -- forward Sydney Leroux of UCLA and midfielders Kristie Mewis of Boston College and Christine Nairn of Penn State -- will spend only one week in camp with Leroux and Mewis appearing April 18-22 and Nairn coming April 25-29.

The USWNT will next play Japan in a two-game friendly series May 14 at Columbus Crew Stadium and May 18 at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC before concentrating on the Women's World Cup.
