Women's Professional Soccer announced Wednesday Crystal Fukumoto has become the league's new communications and social media specialist and will begin her duties based out of Los Angeles next week.
Fukumoto previously worked in the league as the director of communications for FC Gold Pride.
She will be responsible for all of the league's public and media relations efforts as well as their corporate communications and broadcast relations, and will work with WPS' web designer and digital media manager on social networking initiatives, the league website, and their digital platform.
Fukumoto previously worked in PR for Major League Baseball's Los Angeles Dodgers of the National League and as an account executive at Brener, Zwikel & Associates.
