Women's League Soccer, a new professional league, named former English player and executive Ian McMahon as their first Commissioner March 22.
He played in over 100 games in the 1980's for Oldham Athletic and Rochdale FC until injuries forced him to announce his retirement.
At age 26, he became the youngest person to ever serve as general manager and CEO of an English sports club. He later became managing director of England's Hull City FC and was a head coach for teams in the USL Premier Development League and the USL W-League.
McMahon currently serves as the assistant coach for the men's team at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, IN and also coaches teams within the community.
