Wave To Face Blast One More Time...This Time, It's For The MISL Championship!

The Milwaukee Wave and the Balitmore Blast, who met six times during the 2010-11 Major Indoor Soccer League season, with the Blast winning four of those games to eventually become the league's regular season champion, will meet again Saturday at First Mariner Arena in Baltimore to decide who becomes the league's grand champion.

After losing Game 1 of the league's Semifinal Series to the Missouri Comets Wednesday 15-5 at the Independence Events Center in Independence, MO, the Wave won the second game of the series 20-18 Sunday at US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, then won a 15-minute tiebreaking mini-game 5-2 to advance to the one-round championship game next weekend.

In the second game, Marco Terminesi led the Wave with four two-point goals and Jonathan Santos had a three-point goal. For the Comets, Byron Alvarez also had four two-pointers, Leo Gibson had a brace, Tigiunho had a three-pointer and Geison Moura had a two-point shot.

In the mini-game, Josh Rife had a three-pointer and Greg Howes had a two-pointer for the Wave, while Alvarez had a power play goal.
