The Fredericksburg Hotspur (USL Premier Development League), Fredericksburg Impact (USL W-League, Virginia Beach Piranhas (both USL PDL and USL W-League), and the Northern Virginia Royals (USL PDL) and Northern Virginia Majestics (USL W-League) jointly announced Tuesday they will all vie for the Commonwealth Cup during their respective seasons.
On the PDL side, the winner of the cup will be the team who scores the most goals in the home and away games of their first season series.
With the W-League teams, the winner of the cup will be the team with the best record after all six home-and-away series are played.
