The US Men's National Team was drawn Tuesday into Group C of the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup as the host country, along with Panama, Canada and Guadeloupe, and will open pool play June 7 against Canada as the nightcap of a doubleheader at Ford Field in Detroit.
The US then moves to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL for their second game June 11 against Panama before ending pool play June 14 against Guadeloupe at new LIVESTRONG Sporting Park in Kansas City, KS.
Should the US finish as one of the top two teams in its group, they will move on to quartefinal play July 19 at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
The semifinal round will be held June 22 at Reliant Stadium in Houston with the championship game taking place June 25 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.
The winner of the Gold Cup will represent the confederation in the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.
In the other pool groups, defending Gold Cup champion Mexico was placed in Group A with Costa Rica, Cuba and El Salvador, and Jamaica, Grenada, Honduras and Guatemala make up Group B.
Canada will get a chance to avenge their controversial last meeting with the US in the semis of the 2007 Gold Cup. Meanwhile, defending champions Mexico were drawn into a rough Group A alongside Costa Rica, El Salvador and Cuba.
