United Soccer Leagues announced Monday an expansion of the relationship they have with Umbro, the world's leading supplier of soccer uniforms, footwear, equipment and apparel since 1924 and a league sponsor and former majority shareholder since the mid 1990's.
When Umbro's parent company, Nike, was acquired by NuRock Soccer Holdings, which now owns USL, in August 2009, a new partnership deal was formed.
Umbro will now serve as the Presenting Sponsor to all USL Championship games throughout their leagues (USL PRO, USL Premier Development League, USL W-League and USL I-League) with teams vying for the Umbro Cup.
They will also provide a comprehensive team kit package for all USL PRO teams and a sponsorship package to PDL and W-League Championship Weekend events.
