The Victoria Highlanders of the USL Premier Development League, who already have an affiliate franchise in the team's U-20 Reserves, announced Monday they have formed an alliance with Mid Isle Highlanders FC of the Pacific Coast Soccer League for them to become a feeder team.
Owned by Bill and Cheryl Merriman, whose eldest son, James, will be the team's general manager, Mid Isle's roster will be older than Victoria's reserve team but younger than the roster of the USL PDL franchise.
