US Women Remain Number One In World Soccer Rankings

After claiming their ninth Algarve Cup championship in Portugal recently, the US remains the number one women's soccer team in the first quarterly FIFA/Coca-Cola World Soccer Rankings, released Friday.

Following the US and staying in their spots from the final 2010 poll are Germany and Brazil.

Japan (fourth) and Sweden (fifth) traded positions in the new poll, Canada fell three spots to sixth, France moved up one to seventh, North Korea (eighth) and Norway (ninth() dropped two places, and England holds firm at tenth.

The US, who also won the Four Nations Cup tournament earlier this year in China, will open their 2011 friendly schedule April 2 against England at Matchroom Stadium in London.

The next poll results come out July 22.
