Traynor Earns Roster Spot With Orlando City

After impressing coaches in all four of their preseason games, Orlando City Soccer Club of USL PRO announced Tuesday they have signed defender Jack Traynor to a multi-year contract.

Traynor, who played for four years at Notre Dame, was drafted in 2009 by the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer in the second round of that season's SuperDraft, but was later released.

He left the States to try out for Norway's Aalesunds FK, but returned to the US and signed in 2009 with Miami FC Blues, then of the USL First Division, and appeared in 20 games.

Traynor's last team was AC St. Louis in the 2010 USSF Division 2 Pro League, where he played in 26 games.
