The Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League announced Wednesday Tim Robbie has taken over as team president from Aaron Davidson, who has been with the team since their inception in 2005 as Miami FC Blues in the USL First Division.
Davidson will retain his positions as CEO of the NASL and vice president of Traffic Sports USA, the American affiliate to the Brazilian firm.
The Robbie family, who formerly owned the NFL's Miami Dolphins, were owners of the Strikers in the original NASL from 1977-83.
