For the second time in the league's brief history, the San Diego Sockers, behind four goals from 2010 league and playoff Most Valuable Player Kraig Chiles, defeated Guerreros de La Raza de Guadalajara of Liga Mexicana de Futbol Rapido 10-6 to win the 2010-11 Professional Arena Soccer League's North American Championship Saturday at Cincinnati Gardens in Cincinnati.
Eric Wunderle added a brace for the Sockers and Paul Wright, Diego Rovira, Scott Martin, Dan Antoniuk and Nick Perera each had a goal in the victory.
Omar Santillan and Miguel Vaca each had braces for Guadalajara with Juan Carlos Delgadillo and Sergio Isaac Morales also scoring goals.
The Sockers defeated Guadalajara 9-8 last season when they host the North American Championship at Del Mar Arena, where, Saturday, they will meet the PASL's Cincinnati Kings to defend another crown won in 2010 -- the US Open Arena Soccer Championship title.
