Midfielder Allie Long (18th minute) and forward Casey Nogueira (22nd minute) scored goals in a four-minute, first half span as Sky Blue FC of Women's Professional Soccer shut out the University of Virginia 2-0 Sunday in an exhibition game at Asphalt Green in New York City.
Sky Blue will close out their preseason schedule with games Thursday at Rutgers University's Yurcak Field against the Scarlet Knights and Sunday against Penn State at Dideriksen Park in East Brunswick, NJ.
They will open their 2011 WPS season at home April 10 against the Philadelphia Independence at Yurcak Field.
