SeaWolves Sign Former Sounder F/M Tomlinson

The North Sound (Everett, WA) SeaWolves of the USL Premier Development League announced the signing Friday of forward/midfielder Craig Tomlinson, who played in over 200 games over nine seasons in the USL First Division with the Seattle Sounders, winning two league titles there.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Westmoreland, Jamaica, Tomlinson played three college seasons at Fresno State University, then transferred to Ohio State University for his 1998 senior season.

At Fresno State in 1996, Tomlinson led the Bulldogs to a Western Athletic Conference championship, a #7 national ranking and the quarterfinals of the NCAA College Cup tournament. He also was named to the WAC's All-Conference First Team in 1997.

He spent summers playing for the Central Coast Roadrunners in the PDL while in college, but joined the Tennessee Rhythm, the former Nashville Metros, in the USL A-League in 1999 after graduating from Ohio State, leading them in scoring with 14 goals in 22 games that season.

Tomlinson spent time playing for the Wichita Wings of the National Professional Soccer League before joining the Sounders in 2000.
