Zach Schilawski had an unassisted goal in the eighth minute and Shalrie Joseph scored nine minutes later on a penalty kick as the host New England Revolution held off DC United 2-1 Saturday in Major League Soccer play at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.
Former US Men's National Team member Charlie Davies scored his third goal of his comeback campsign for United in second-half stoppage time on a penalty kick.
The Revolution, 1-0-1 with four points, is off this coming weekend, but resumes play next Wednesday night at the Vancouver Whitecaps.
United is now 1-1-0 with three points and travels to face the defending MLS champion Colorado Rapids next Sunday.
