Revolution Sign Defender Lowey

Major League Soccer's New England Revolution announced the signing Thursday of defender Otto Lowey, who started all but one of 80 games at Winthrop and had five goals and 11 assists in his college career.

The native of Liberia who now holds a US Green Card, granting him permanent resident status, will count as domestic player on their roster.

A leg injury suffered in his final college game prevented him from participating in the 2011 MLS Combine in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
