The previously announced Women's Major League Soccer has since changed its name to Women's League Soccer, according to OurSportsCentral.com.
The league has two divisions, an Elite Division featuring the Chicago Breeze, Cincinnati Saints, Cleveland FC, FC Indiana, Fort Wayne SC and South Bend WFC, and a Division 2 featuring teams in Evansville and Michigan City, IN, and teams in Kalamazoo, Lansing and Westfield, MI.
The team that wins Division 2 at the end of their season is promoted to the Elite Division while the last place Elite team is relegated to Division 2.
The league states on its website -- www.womensleaguesoccer.com -- their season begins May 15, but the only part of the site that works is the Teams tab on the home page.
