The North American Soccer League announced the hiring Thursday of Darren McCartney as the league's director of operations. He will begin his duties Monday.
McCarty has held the same position with Major League Soccer's Chivas USA (2009 and 2010) and Los Angeles Galaxy (1996 and 1997), Inter Forever Sports (1998-2002), CONCACAF (2003) and for the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Tampa.
He also served as marketing director for the Florida Turnpike Enterprise.
