Major League Soccer Monday announced the five nominees for the AT&T Goal of the Week award for Week 2 of the 2011 season.
Fans can view the scoring plays of the nominees by visiting www.mlssoccer.com/att-goal-week and can vote for their choice either online or via their cell phone by texting GOAL to 22442 and typing in the code for their particular favorite. Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time Thursday with the winner to be announced Friday.
The nominees are (with codes next to them) Javier Martina of Toronto FC (G1), Quincy Amarikwa of the defending MLS champion Colorado Rapids (G2), Javier Morales of Real Salt Lake (G3), Marco Poppa of the Chicago Fire (G4) and Chris Wondolowski of the San Jose Earthquakes (G5).
