The Richmond Kickers of USL PRO announced Wednesday they have re-signed midfielder/defender Evan Harding for the 2011 season and added midfielder Ryan Heins and defender Jamel Wallace to the roster.
Harding has been with the team since attending the USL Pro Combine in 2007, playing in 63 games since then. In 2007, as a rookie, he was a four-time USL Second Division Team of the Week winner.
At UNC-Charlotte, he scored 11 goals and seven assists for 29 points after starting all but two of 75 career games and was the fourth player in the team's four-year history to earn all-state honors by the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association.
Heins was the first round pick of the Major Indoor Soccer League's 2007 Expansion Draft of the Philadelphia Kixx, then made his USL-2 debut in 2008 with the Harrisburg City Islanders, where he led them with seven goals and an assist in 17 games, before being loaned to the Rochester Rhinos, where he played a combined 51 games between the USL First Division and the USSF Division 2 Pro League.
He had seven goals and 11 assists with the Temple University Owls over four seasons and was named to the All-Atlantic 10 Second Team his senior season.
Wallace comes to the Kickers after spending 2010 with the Kitsap Pumas of the USL Premier Development League.
Before joining Kitsap, he had seven goals and an assist in 69 appearances at San Diego State University, where he was a two-time All-Pac 10 Honorable Mention candidate (2007 and 2009) and was named to the conference's Second Team in 2008.
He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by the Portland Timbers.
