Forward Greg Howes, who just finished the 2010-11 season as player-coach of the Professional Arena Soccer League's Tacoma Stars, signed Friday to re-join the Major Indoor Soccer League's Milwaukee Wave for their playoff push and will play in Friday's game at the Omaha Vipers.
Howes, a member of the Class of 2011 in the team's Hall Of Fame, played eight seasons with Milwaukee and is second on their all-time goal scoring list with 311 and their leader in one-point goals with 136, 58 of those scored in the 2003-04 season, when there was three levels of scoring.
He once scored six one-point goals in a game and five two-point goals in another game, the only player in team history to do that.
To make room for Howes on the roster, Milwaukee place Kyle Lance on the injured reserve inactive list after he tore an anterior cruciate ligament February 20 in their last game against the Baltimore Blast.
