The Wilmington Hammerheads of USL PRO announced Thursday the return of goalkeeper Kyle Polak for the 2011 season and the signings of midfielders Tanner Wolfe and Diego Barrera.
Polak played for head coach David Irving from 2007 to 2009 and had a 1.22 goals against average in 2009 when Wilmington won the USL Second Division championship.
He split his collegiate career between Cal State Fullerton and California State University-Dominguez Hills. In 2006, at CSU-DH, he had 24 career shutouts, was named the school's Male Athlete of the Year and was named First Team All-California Collegiate Athletic Association.
Wolfe played in 75 career games at Stetson University in DeLand, FL and had 33 career goals, 18 assists and 84 total points.
He played in 31 games between 2007 and 2008 for the Central Florida Kraze in the USL Premier Development League and scored nine goals and eight assists. He also led the franchise through qualfication for the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
Barrera becomes the fifth member of the USL PDL's Ventura County Fusion on the Hammerheads team.
He played for the Fusion in the 2007 and 2010 season, and with the league's San Fernando Valley Quakes in 2008 and the Hollywood United Hitmen in 2009.
Barrera played three seasons of college soccer at Loyola Marymount University, then transferred to the University of New Mexico for his final season and finished third on the team in scoring with 12 points and was a Second Team All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation selection.
He also played for the U-18 National Team that won the first-ever Milk Cup tournament in Northern Ireland.
