Hammerheads Sign Four From USL PDL's Fusion

The Wilimington Hammerheads of USL PRO announced the signings Wednesday of four players who had experience playing for the Ventura County Fusion of the USL Premier Development League.

Dylan Riley has been with the Fusion since their inception in 2007 and led them to the league's 2009 championship. He was the team's captain for the 2010 season.

Riley started all four seasons at California State Northridge and started at least once at every field position except goalkeeper. He was a two-time Soccer America National Team of the Week member and a two-time Big West Conference Player of the Week.

Ivan Becarra is currently training with Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy, but played for the Fusion from 2008 to 2010, before joining the Portland Timbers of the USSF Division 2 Pro League.

Becarra also played in MLS for the Columbus Crew in 2006 and 2007.

Guzman came to the Fusion from the PDL's Bakersfield Brigade, where he was named captain in 2007.

Hakop "Jack" Avesyan was also a member of the 2009 USL PDL national championship team.
