Fusion Wins Premier Arena Soccer League's Winter National Finals Over Host Knights

The San Diego Fusion, the developmental team of the defending Professional Arena Soccer League North American Champion and US Open Arena Soccer Champions, defeated the host Las Vegas Knights 2-1 Saturday to win the 2010-11 Premier Arena Soccer League's Winter National Finals.

The Fusion went 1-0-1 in Group B pool play by tying ASC Warriors 2-2, then beating the Cincinnati Kings Reserve 6-4. Saturday, San Diego was a 3-2 winner over the Chico Bigfoot in the quarterfinals and edged the South Natomas All-Stars 6-5 in a shootout to reach the championship final.

The Knights went undefeated Friday in Group A play, beating the Bigfoot 7-2 and shutting out the Colorado Rapids Reserve 8-0, then defeated the Kings Reserve 3-2 Saturday in quarterfinal play, folllowed by a 5-3 win over Vitesse Dallas in the semifinals.
