FC Edmonton Roster Gets Four More Additions

FC Edmonton of the North American Soccer League announced the signings Tuesday of four more members to their 2011 roster -- defender Andre Duberry, midfielder/defender Chris Kooy, defender Antonio Rago and goalkeeper Jaswinder Gil.

Duberry will play on his first professional soccer team but won titles for teams at Mount Royal College in 2004, where, in 2006, he was named an All-Canadian player, and with club team Calgary Callies in 2007 and 2008. He underwent trials in Scotland in Livingston and Peterhead before signing with Edmonton.

Kooy won three titles with Callies and a gold medal in the 2001 Canada Summer Games. He previously played in USL for the Calgary Mustangs and tried out at Livingston in 2008.

Rago was on the U-16 Alberta Team Nationals championship team, won the U-18 National Championship with Juventus, and was a finalist at the U-19 Dallas Cup SuperGroup tournament.

Gill also played on U-17 and U-18 teams in Canada, including with Juventus on the U-18 title team that Rago was part of the roster. At the University of Alberta, he was a First Team All-Star in Canada West and a Canadian Interuniversity Sport Second Team All-Star, both coming in 2010.
