The Harrisburg City Islanders of USL PRO announced Friday defender and team captain Dustin Bixler will play in his seventh season there and they have signed defender Andrew Marshall and midfielder Nelson Becarra.
Bixler is a three-time member of the USL Second Division All-League team (2008 on second team, 2009 and 2010 on first team), as well as the 2007 USL-2 Championship Most Valuable Player, and their all-time leader in starts and minutes added.
He scored his first goal last season in his 88th appearance with Harrisburg in a 2-1 win over the Charleston Battery.
Marshall became the all-time leader in appearances and minutes played for Crystal Palace Baltimore since joining the franchise in 2007.
During his tenure there, he was named to USL-2 Teams of the Week, was a USL-2 Player of the Week selection, and was on the league's 2009 All-League Second Team.
Becarra played collegiately at Centenary College, then transferred to St. John's, where he was the conference's Midfielder of the Year in 2008 and led the Red Storm to their first appearance in the NCAA College Cup since 2003.
He was also invited to take part in the 2009 Major League Soccer Combine.
