Bengals WR Ochocinco Named Honorary SKC Player

After ending a six-day tryout, Chad Ochocinco, wide receiver for the NFL's Cincinnati Bengals, was named Tuesday a honorary player for Major League Soccer's Sporting Kansas City.

Ochocinco had been trying out for the team while the NFL owners have locked out players due to the fact they no longer have a Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Ochocinco had played soccer growing up in Miami before becoming a football player.

His honorary status with Sporting Kansas City will give him the ability to rejoin the team for the purpose of workouts and being able to train with the team's Reserve Division squad, but will be ineligible to play in MLS games.
