Wenzel Overtime Goal Gives Stars Ability To Put Out Fire

Micah Wenzel scored his second goal of the game 3:56 into overtime and Ian Weinberg had a regulation hat trick at the Tacoma Stars earned an 11-10 victory over the host Wenatchee Fire in Professional Arena Soccer League play Sunday from the Wenatchee Valley Sportsplex.

The Stars improved to 5-2-0 and are in a second place tie with Revolucion Tijuana in the Western Division standings. Tacoma will face the California Cougars at Stockton Arena this coming Friday and Saturday night.

Mauricio Lopez led the way for Wenatchee with four goals, three of them assisted by Garrett Brown, but the Fire fell to 1-3-0, third place in the Pro Frontier Division. They will next host the Snohomish Skyhawks of the Premier Arena Soccer League this Saturday.
