Warren Calls It A Career...This Time, For Good!

Goalkeeper Joe Warren, who played his entire 13-year professional soccer career in his home state of Minnesota, announced -- for the second and final time -- his retirement from the game Thursday.

He played 12 years with the Minnesota Thunder from 1985 to 2007, leading the team to the 1999 A-League Championship, before retiring after the 2007 season, but was called back into duty in the 2010 season for the NSC Minnesota Stars, then of the USSF Division 2 Pro League, now the North American Soccer League, after starting goalkeeper Louis Crayton suffered a season-ending knee injury in the opening game of last season.

Warren was 10-8-4 last season with a 0.99 goals against average and played 2,181 minutes last season.
