Amy Rodriguez assisted in the 31st minute on a goal from Carli Lloyd, then scored her own with the help of Tobin Heath as the world's number one women's soccer team -- the US -- won the 2011 Four Nations Tournament in Chongqing, China Tuesday with a 2-0 victory over the host country.
The win, coupled with a 1-0 defeat of Sweden by Canada in the opening game of the day, helped break a four-way tie for the tournament championship at 1-0-1 as the US and Canada ended tied at 2-0-1, but, thanks to a 2-1 victory over Canada Sunday, the US claimed one of the tiebreakers to settle the matter -- head-to-head matchup.
The team now returns to the States for a well-deserved week off before another training camp is called February 3-9 in Florida to determine the roster for the 2011 Algarve Cup tournament in Portugal.
