USL PRO Announces 2011 Schedule, Divisional Alignment

The first season of USL PRO, a merger between the United Soccer League's former First Division and Second Division, will kick off with a 180-game regular season April 2 and end August 13.

The league's 15 teams will play in three five-team divisions -- the American (Charleston Battery, Charlotte Eagles, Orlando City, Richmond Kickers, Wilmington Hammerheads), International (Barracuda FC, Los Angeles Blues, Puerto Rico United, River Plate Puerto Rico, Sevilla FC Puerto Rico) and the National (Dayton Dutch Lions, Harrisburg City Islanders, FC New York, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, Rochester Rhinos).

Teams will play a 24-game schedule, facing each team in their division twice -- once at home, once on the road.

The league will announce the postseason format in the coming weeks.
