According to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraff Monday, Aron Winter, former Holland midfielder and current reserve team head coach for Ajax, will be joining Major League Soccer's Toronto FC as their new technical director.
Winter played in 84 games for the Dutch National Team between 1987 and 2000 and scored six goals. His 84 games played are seventh-most in team history.
He also played professionally for Ajax, Lazio and Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, reports say former New England Revolution assistant coach Paul Mariner is stepping down as head coach of Plymouth Argyle in England to join Toronto as an assistant coach.
