The Western Mass Pioneers of the USL Premier Development League Tuesday named Tim Larocca as the team's assistant coach, reuniting him with new head coach Joe Calabrese, who worked together for two seasons (2007-09) at Utica College.
Larocca currently serves as assistant coach for Western New England College, where he was a three-time National Soccer Coaches Association of American All-New England player (2004-06) and a 2006 NSCAA All-American, and is also on the developmental academy staff with the Oakwood Soccer Club.
After playing collegiately, he joined the USL PDL's Albany Admirals in 2006, then played for the Pioneers in the 2008 season.
From 2009 to 2010, Larocca was the director of coaching for SoccerPlus.
