Former Kansas City Wizards and DC United head coach Curt Onalfo is reuniting with his former college, Major League Soccer and US Men's National Team head coach Bruce Arena at the Los Angeles Galaxy as the team hired him Thursday to become Arena's assistant coach and the head coach of the Galaxy's MLS Reserve Division team.
Onalfo began his playing career with the Galaxy in 1996, playing 13 games, then played for Arena, who coached him at the University of Virginia, at DC United in 1998 before retiring in 1999 to become his assistant coach until 2001. He then served with Arena from 2001 to 2005 on the USMNT.
