The North American Soccer League announced Wednesday they have taken temporary ownership of the NSC Minnesota Stars until the franchise can secure a new local ownership group.
The league announced Djorn Buchholz will serve as the team as CEO and will retain the services of Manny Lagos as head coach and director of soccer operations.
Buchholz was the former general manager of the Minnesota Thunder of the USL First Division for six years and spent the 2010 season as CEO of the Austin Aztex of the USSF Division 2 Pro League.
