Little Change In First FIFA World Men's Soccer Poll Of 2011

The world soccer calendar for 2011 starts the same way 2010 ended, as far as the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Soccer Rankings are concerned, as the January poll was released Wednesday.

The top eight teams in the final 2010 poll -- Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, Argentina, England, Uruguay and Portugal -- held their position in the new survey with Croatia (up one to ninth) and Egypt (down one to tenth) swapping spots.

The United States, who open their 2011 schedule January 22 versus Chile at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, stayed at 18th.

The next monthly poll will be released February 2.
