FC Tampa Bay announced Wednesday they will play their 2011 and 2012 home seasons in the North American Soccer League at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL, the former home of Tampa Bay Rays spring training from 1998 to 2008.
The stadium, which seats over 7,000, will be converted from a baseball to a soccer stadium in time for the team's 2011 home opener April 9 versus the Montreal Impact.
FC Tampa Bay played their 2010 season in the USSF Division 2 Pro League at Legends Field in Tampa, home to spring training for the New York Yankees.
