The Missouri Comets of the Major Indoor Soccer League announced Thursday they have signed defenders Coady Andrews and Casey Barton to contracts.
Andrews, who lives in Shawnee, KS, started all 18 games last season for the University of Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos, scored four goals, and played the third-most minutes in the 2010 season.
In 2009, he played 1,428 minutes and started 15 of 16 games.
He has also played outdoor soccer for the USL Premier Development League's Kansas City Brass and the Professional Arena Soccer League's Kansas City Kings.
Brown, from Wichita, KS, split time in the 2002-03 MISL season with the Cleveland Force and the original Kansas City Comets, then played the 2004-05 season for the Comets, before taking a year off from the sport.
He returned to the game in the 2006-07 season with the Philadelphia Kixx and blocked 27 shots in 23 games, third most of the team, en route to them winning the MISL Championship.
To make room for the new roster additions, the Comets Thursday cut defender Shaun Dastan.
