Blast Outlast Riot In First Game Of Home-And-Home Series

Lucio Gonzaga and Pat Healey had a pair of two-point goals each, Worteh Sampson had a two-pointer and an assist and four others scored two-pointers as the host Baltimore Blast outlasted the Chicago Riot 18-17 Friday at First Mariner Arena in a weekend home-and-home series.

The Blast, at 9-3, a half-game behind the league-leading and defending league regular season champion Milwaukee Wave, head to the Odeum Sports & Expo Center in Villa Park, IL Sunday.

Anthony Maher had two two-pointers and assisted on goals by Eric Lukin and Sandre Naumoski to lead the Riot, the worst team in the MISL at 2-8, 6 1/2 games behind the Wave, and Miodrag Djerisilo had a pair of twos and an assist.

Semir Mesanovic had the game's only three-point goal for the Riot.
