Beat Adds Defenders Dowling, Reynolds To 2011 Roster

The Atlanta Beat, the worst team last season in Women's Professional Soccer, announced the signings Tuesday of defenders Keeley Dowling and Katherine Reynolds for the 2011 season.

Dowling started 36 of 39 games over the league's first two seasons with Sky Blue FC and she co-captained the 2010 team.

A two-time Southeastern Conference Defender of the Year (2003 and 2004) and National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American over her four seasons at the University of Tennessee, Dowling also played for the US Women's National Team during the 2004 Nordic Cup championship run and was part of the team's 2007 and 2008 player pools.

Reynolds, drafted by the Philadelphia Independence in the 2009 WPS Draft, graduated from Santa Clara University and has been on the US U-23 Women's National Team since 2007.
