Union Signs Home Grown 15-Year-Old To Contract

The Philadelphia Union of Major League Soccer Wednesday signed midfielder Zach Pfeffer to a contract for the 2011 season.

He is the team's first Home Grown Player, having been born in Dresher, PA, and is the fourth-youngest player to sign an MLS contract at 15 years, 352 days old.

Pfeffer is part of the US U-17 National Team and played for nationally renowned youth club FC Delco. He also represented the Union during the annual SUM Cup for U-17 players, held during the 2010 MLS All-Star Game in Houston.
