USMNT To Open 2011 Season Against Chile January 22 At The Home Depot Center

The US Men's National Team announced Monday they will open the 2011 season at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA against Chile January 22.

The US is 2-4-1 lifetime against Chile, who finished second in Group H at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, losing to Brazil in the Round of 16.

Since first playing in Carson January 18, 2004 in a 1-1 draw to Denmark, the US team is 8-1-1 there and are on an eight-game winning streak.

Before losing to Honduras 3-1 in January 2009, the US had scored 27 goals in friendly games there and surrendered only four.
