USL To Honor Six Franchises As Newest 10+ Clubs At Hall Of Fame Banquet Friday

United Soccer Leagues will induct six more franchises into their 10+ Club, signifying they have been affiliated with the organization for ten seasons, at the league's annual Hall Of Fame Awards Banquet Friday at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Tampa.

The franchises are:

CHICAGO FIRE (USL PDL)
Founded in 2001, they have won seven division titles and are 124-24-22 in the regular season, They made it to the 2003 and 2009 league championship games, but came up short.

ORANGE COUNTY BLUE STAR (USL PDL)
The Blue Star have won three division titles in their ten years of existence and featured future soccer stars like Sacha Kljestan, Sal Zizzo, Kamani Hill, Brad Evans, Robbie Rogers, Kei Kamara and Jurgen Klinsmann.

PITTSBURGH RIVERHOUNDS (USL PRO)
Originally part of the A-League in 1999, the Riverhounds won the Pro League's Atlantic Division in 2004 by losing only two games.

SEATTLE SOUNDERS (USL W-LEAGUE)
The Sounders have made the league's playoffs in six of their ten season and reached the league semfinals four times. Current and former US Women's National Team stars who began their careers there include Tina Ellertson, Justi Baumgardt-Yamada and Michelle French.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SEAHORSES (USL PDL)
They won the 2006 Southwest Division title and have made several postseason appearances.

VANCOUVER WHITECAPS (USL W-LEAGUE)
The Whitecaps have won the league championship three times, advanced to the championship game five times, and won their division seven times over ten seasons.

Also to be inducted in the USL Hall Of Fame are Builder Class selection the late Betsy McAdams, Coach Class member Bob Lilley and Player inductee Doug Miller.
