Undefeated Wave Roll Over Comets At US Cellular Arena

Evan McNeley led all scorers with five points on a two-point goal assisted by Marcio Leite and an unassisted three-point goal as the defending Major Indoor Soccer League regular season champion Milwaukee Wave rolled over the expansion Missouri Comets 24-11 Friday at US Cellular Arena to go 2-0 on the young season.

Matt Stewart, Travis MacKenzie and Guiliano Oliviero each had a pair of two-point goals, Marco Terminesi also posted a three-point goal, and Hewerton Moreira has a goal and an assist for Milwaukee, who has two road games next week -- Thursday against the new Omaha Vipers and next Sunday against fellow newcomer Chicago Riot.

Leo Gibson led the Comets, in last place at 1-3, with a three-point goal and Brian Harris, Jamar Beasley, Vahid Assadpour and Tiguinho all added two-pointers. Missouri has next weekend off before hitting the road to face the Baltimore Blast December 11 and the Riot December 12.
