Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders announced Tuesday defender Jeff Parke will return for the team's 2011 preseason training camp after undergoing surgery to remove bone spurs from a toe joint.
Parke, a former New England Revolution player, signed with Seattle May 13 and started all 20 of the team's remaining regular season games.
He played in the first leg of their Western Conference semifinal series against the Los Angeles Galaxy, but suffered a high ankle sprain and missed the second leg.
